USPA NEWS - Aug 25, 2016, Group D of the AFC U-16 Women´s Championship 2017 qualification was kicked off in Hanoi, Vietnam. Vietnam is the host of Group D, it has another teams: Australia, Hong Kong, Iraq, Palestine and Uzbekistan.
Aug 25, 2016, Group D of the AFC U-16 Women´s Championship 2017 qualification was kicked off in Hanoi, Vietnam. Vietnam is the host of Group D, it has another teams: Australia, Hong Kong, Iraq, Palestine and Uzbekistan.
In this group, Australia is the strongest team and their goal is the first place and the ticket to the AFC U-16 Women´s Championship 2017.

In the first match, Australia won Palestine 28-0. This game was kicked off at 1:00pm (local time). The footballers were played in too hot weather (38oC). Their strength, power and energy were lost quickly and they tried all their best to finish this game.
After the first half, Australia scored 14 goals and in the second half, they had the same goals and finished the game with final score 28-0.
Australia proved they are the strongest team in group D and they took the temporary first place after Match Day 1.
In the second match, Hong Kong won Iraq 2-1. This game kicked off at 3:00pm (local time) in the better weather. Two teams played well with a lot of chances. Iraq took the lead with the score after nine minutes but it wasn't too long. Two minutes later, Hong Kong had a goal to drew 1-1. Hong Kong struck back hardly and they had the second goal in the end of first half. They kept the final score 2-1 successfully.
In the last game of the Match Day 1, Vietnam won Uzbekistan 2-1. The game kicked off at 4:00pm. Vietnam missed some good chances but took the lead quickly by two goals of Van Su in the first half (16' and 45' +3'). In the second half, Uzbekistan struck back but only had a goal by Shakhnozabonu Yusupova (54') and the final score is 2-1 for Vietnam.
